A BOYS WISH By Scott Arquette

A BOY WISH

As a young boy I wished for a man to marry my mother to make her happy…
He was that man..
As a young boy I wished to have a father who gave me a home and create cherished memories..
He was that man
As a young boy I wished for a father to love me…
He was that man..
As a young boy I wished for a father to teach me from right and wrong..
He was that man..
As a young boy I wished to have a father to bring me to my baseball games..
He was that man..
As a young boy I wished to have a father who would be there when I needed him the most..
He was that man…
As a young boy I wished for a father who would embrace me and call me son when I walked through the door..
He was that man…
As a young boy I wished for a father to talk to and hope he would understand me…
He was that man.
As a young boy I wished for a father who I could be like and be proud of it..
He was that man..
As a young boy I wished to have someone to look up to and be my hero…
He was that man…
As a young man I wished to be a father myself one day…
I learned from that man….
As a young boy I wondered what I’d be like as a man..
THAT IS THE MAN I WOULD WANT TO BE -MY FATHER…
DAD ALTHOUGH YOU WEREN’T MY BIOLOGICAL FATHER..WE KNEW YOU WERE MY DAD AND I WAS YOUR SON AND I WAS VERY PROUD TO CALL YOU MY FATHER FOR ALL THESE YEARS…THANK YOU REST IN PEACE ELVIS…
